Share an evening with compelling, award-winning writers Michael Pedersen and Sean Wai Keung as they read from and talk about their work. Sean’s latest book of poetry is sikfan glaschu which The Scotsman described as “joyful, earnest and funny,” while Michael’s hugely acclaimed memoir Boy Friends is now accompanied by his latest collection The Cat Prince and Other Poems.

Michael Pedersen is a prize-winning Scottish poet and author. He has published three acclaimed collections of poetry, the latest, The Cat Prince & Other Poems, was published by Little Brown in July 2023. His prose debut, Boy Friends, was published by Faber & Faber in 2022 to rave reviews in the UK and North America and was a Sunday Times Critics Choice 2022. Pedersen's work has attracted praise from the likes of: Stephen Fry, Kae Tempest, Irvine Welsh, Maggie Smith, Sara Pascoe, Jackie Kay and many more. Co-founder of the literary collective Neu! Reekie!, Pedersen has been appointed Writer in Residence at The University of Edinburgh.

 

Glasgow-based Sean Wai Keung is known for his poetry, performance and writing about food, with particular focus on migration, community and cooking. His published work includes, you are mistaken which won the Rialto Open Pamphlet Competition and sikfan glaschu, which The Scotsman described as “joyful, earnest and funny.” Frank, and a wonderful reader of his work, Sean is not to be missed.
