The work will be displayed on the large screen in the SDRL foyer, with a constant looped screening throughout the main festival weekend (4-5 October).

Let the World Adore You

5 September to 5 October – Common Sense Coffee House & Bar

A selection of works by Swedish photographer Lisa Brunzell from her photobook Let the World Adore You (shortlisted for the international Rencontres d’Arles Photo-Text Book Award), which captures the lives of Britain’s ABBA tribute artists, exploring the tension between their impersonations and their individual identities. Join Lisa for a special talk about the work on Thursday 2 October as part of the main WayWORD Festival.

Fear & Fascination – A Gothic Exhibition

29 September to 5 October – Sir Duncan Rice Library

Showcasing the extensive collection of Gothic novels, this exhibition explores how these texts used fear to both terrify and excite readers with their tales of monsters and villains, and exploration of transgressive themes.

Discover hidden meanings within these classic tales that question, are the monsters truly monstrous?
