WayWORD empowers young people to produce a cross-arts literary festival in Aberdeen which celebrates new work and ideas, amplifies diverse voices and breaks down barriers to culture in our community.
WayWORD is part of the WORD Centre for Creative Writing at the University of Aberdeen.

We are Nature Collective x Envirolution
Saturday 5th September 2026 – Seaton Park
Taking to the main festival stage at Envirolution, hear new poetry and prose by members of We Are Nature Collective from their latest ‘artefact’ publication commissioned by WayWORD. The collective is a women-led creative group rooted in North East Scotland who walk, listen and create together, exploring the threads between people, place, and planet.
